This project was brought about by a challenge to mend the outrageous world of Pink Floyd with the classic world of The Wizard of Oz. The scope of this project was to align each band member of Pink Floyd to a main character in The Wizard of Oz story. Roger Waters is seen as 'Dorothy', David Gilmore as the 'Tin Man', Richard Wright is the 'Scarecrow', Nick Mason represents the 'Cowardly Lion', and finally the British Politician as the 'Wicked Witch of the West'. In this design I took into consideration the personality traits and roles of each member of Pink Floyd in comparison to the roles and personalities of The Wizard of Oz. My research for this project consisted of a deep dive into the multiple meanings of The Wizard of Oz, the characters representation, and the time period the story was created for. As well as Pink Floyd history, band members and album art. In the end, I landed on this series of characters that not only mimic the feeling of Pink Floyd's music, match much of their album characters (specifically off of  "The Wall" Album), but adds mystery to the journey of The Wizard of Oz characters, giving the classic movie a new life and clarifies the notion that "We are not in Kansas anymore, Toto".
